Once an experiment for a select lucky few, now the folks in Zynga has rolled out the option of fertilizer to the greater masses. What’s so special about fertilizer? Well, if a friend comes to your farm and fertilizes any portion of your crop, you will receive an XP for harvesting that plot of your crop.
Fertilized crops earn you one extra XP when you harvest.
You can tell that a friend has fertilized your crop because there will be sparkles over the plot of land where your crop was planted. When they are full grown, you’ll notice the fruit will be a little larger than your regular crop.
It’s a small extra bonus, but every little bit count, doesn’t it?
How do you get fertilizer to use on your friend’s farms? I haven’t received any yet, but apparently it’s randomly distributed to various farmville players every day (or so I’m told).
SO now, the way you get fertilizer is that you go to your friend’s farm, help them clear away the weeds or animals (or whatever the message tells you), and after you “accept”, a fertilizer bag will show up in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. You will be able to fertlize up to five plots of land.
